This hat was inspired by Lyra's knit hood as seen in the movie, The Golden Compass, an epic fantasy adventure based on Philip Pullman’s best-selling and award-winning novel. I've created this crochet version in the same style and color scheme as the one worn by Lyra as she trekked through the North in Svalbard.

I've seen several knit versions of this hat, but I wanted to join in the fun as a crocheter! Little girls especially love the Lyra hat, but the neutral colors make it suitable for baby boys as well.
